ALICE-ISM Daniel Kneebone’s photographic series, Alice-ism, takes a playful look at the age-old adventures of Alice in Wonderland - with a burlesque twist.
A FEATURE EXHIBITION AT the HEADON FESTIVAL ONLINE EXHIBITION 2020
ALICE-ISM is an illustration of the age-old Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, looking through the grandeur of theatrical performance with a burlesque twist. The project assembles a talented team of female ballet and burlesque performers to create a series of fantastical, nonsensical imaginings that explore the promise of a world beyond.
Daniel Kneebone is a multi-award-winning photographer based in Melbourne, whose work demonstrates a richly textured and delicate colour palette. Intricately staged and presented with a dramatic flair, he entices his audience through photographic depictions of opulent, theatrically-derived characters, creating a sense of mystique and wonder.
